Meet in Paris 2nd arrondissement to discover Jòia: famous Michelin star chef Hélène Darroze’s Parisian restaurant. The restaurant now unveils a new terrace.

In 2018, Hélène Darroze chose Paris 2nd arrondissement to settle her new baby, her second Parisian restaurant to be more precise. Its name? Jòia meaning "joy" in Occitan.

Inside, two areas are to be discovered including, first of all, on the groundfloor, a room that can fit up to 60 sears and offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with an open-plan kitchen

Outside, foodies will be delighted to discover an exclusive country-inspired and natural terrace with garden tables, pots of lavender, aromatic plants planted in wooden cranes; where you can enjoy tapas and cocktails, as well as a summer menu inspired by classics from the ferias in the Basque country.

In terms of food, we find chef Thomas Piat who concocts an authentic cuisine based on south-western produces but not only... To whet your appetite, Jòia offers on the menu, 5 starters including a sun-dried tomatoes risotto, Taggiasche olives and basil and a soup made of Lautrec Pink Garlic, soft-boiled egg and "Noire de Bigorre" ham.

Moving on to main courses, the menu highlights - for instance - the yellow poultry from Landes with foie gras under the skin, as well as the cogote based on Saint Jean de Luz hake roasted the Spanish way or the raviolis by Mamma Léna.

For sweet-toothed restaurant-goers, enjoy the sweet treats by pastry chef Kirk Whittle, the chef's sidekick for almost fifteen years. On the menu? The matcha tea "mille-crêpes", the crispy coffee profiterole served with warm chocolate sauce and even the pavlova with roasted seasonal fruits, whipped cream with pink berries.

As if it was not enough, the place also features a second area; the cocktail bar open from 5 p.m. on the first floor of Joia! To seduce your mouth, the barman chef revisits cocktails created or inspired by women, French classics as well as fresh cocktails such as L'Herbe Rouge, a skillful blend made of bourbons, Martini Riserva Rubino, Galliano, cocoa beans peels and fresh mint.

In other words, one thing is sure, we can’t wait to discover Jòia, Hélène Darroze’s second Parisian restaurant!
